Poly Electrolyte

Polyelectrolyte ( also called Flocculating agents or Flocculants ) are polymers  that are used to flocculate and or coagulate suspended solids and colloidal particles in water,  they are also used for sludge dewatering in sludge dewatering machines like decanter centrifuges , belt-press  and filter -press, flocculants that are used for sludge dewatering are called  DWPE Dewatering Polyelectrolytes,  some of these polymers are also used for de-oiling purposes and they are called dewatering polyelectrolytes.  ( DOPE),  polyelectrolytes are classified as per their molecular weight and ionic charge, 

Polyelectrolyte are also used for color removal in textile industries and dyes and pigment industry.

All polyelectrolytes look the same as most of them are in the physical form of white powder ..,  however the right polyelectrolyte can only be identified with the help of a jar test,  also in case of all these polymers the dosage of the product is often of paramount importance as compared to the cost of the product.
